ESA AND FIRST APPOINTMENT LETTERS

I am helping friend with her ESA form due in next week.
With regards to supplying additional info, she has an appointment letter to see a Cardiologist in late November 2013, for Breathlessness, chest pains (no heart attack), she has high blood pressure and Asthma.
I feel we should send this with her ESA as her GP would not waste his time if he did not feel it was serious, but she is still not convinced, and says it's only an appointment letter which means nothing!!!!
I know she is really stressed and tired, but if I can convince her by showing your replies, she may just change her mind, as I am trying to explain/convince her that this will prove that she suffers from this and at best it will help with the S/G descriptors when we are completing the form as proof of an existing problem and it has been highlighted in her ESA form and we can always send in the consultants letter/report once she has seen him!!!!!!!!!!!
HELP.

Two good reasons to do this.
First as you say it indicates that there is a problem sufficiently severe that it requires investigation by a Consultant.
Secondly, it puts a bookmark in the claim that they have a problem at the time of the assessment, so any reports and letters that result should be accepted as evidence relating the time of the assessment and not disregarded as a deterioration or new condition that occurred after.

Many Thanks, it really does make sense and friend has agreed to send letter of appointment based on your reply.
