I managed to get my form in by the specified date, but I am having to send extra info at a later date, roughly how long after sending the form can you send additional info(eg will a decision maker look at it within two weeks) and do you send it to ATOS or the DWP?

You probably have a couple of weeks, it will depend on whether you have to have a face to face assessment, if you do then you have until the appointment to get your information together, if you do not require one you have until ATOS return your file to the DWP, but you will not be informed of this.
I would send a copy to ATOS at the same address as your ESA50, a copy to the DWP office dealing with your claim, marked for the attention of the "Decision Maker", in both cases include a covering letter explaining what you are doing, and finally take a copy to the face to face and ask the assessor to read it and include it in your file before they proceed with the interview.
