Permitted work was created by carmind
If you do supported permitted work are you restricted to 16 hours? I've read the guide but can't spot the answer.

It depends on the type of Permitted Work you are doing.
The Lower limit is £20/week, there is no restriction on hours.
The Upper Limit and Supported PW is £99.50/week and less than 16 hours per week.

In the guide to permitted work, it states that the lower rate is restricted to less than 16 hours a week. Is this right?

I have checked the Decision Makers Guide and the ESA legislation and I cannot find any restriction on the Lower limit in regard to the number of hours that can be worked, however, £20 is just under 3 1/4 hours at National Minimum Wage.
If in doubt, contact the DWP as you need to inform them of what you are doing anyway.
