waiting game

I wondered How long one waits to see if I need Atos medical number 3?
I pretty much was sent for within 2 weeks of sending last completed questionnaires in.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not desperate to go through it for a 3rd time, but the waiting game is just as nerve destroying as the letter and questionnaire arriving in the first place. Nothing has improved, more like, somewhat worse, however its fair to say that means nothing right?
Any guesses most appreciated?

I would love to be able to give you good news, that no news is good news but I can't. I was transferring over from IB to ESA this time last year. I waited for nearly 5 months before I was told I was in the SG without a face2face. I am currently waiting for my re-assessment, I am really hoping I get through again but who knows? Atos are a law unto themselves.

It seems from what I have seen and read that around 3 months after the form is submitted is a very normal wait. I suppose it depends on the Atos work load, which can vary and of course it is still holiday time so could take a bit longer. The way I look at it is although the wait is agonising, every day is a bonus and every day is another day they are not hassling you. Good luck and I hope you hear something soon.

Hi Madcat woman, ive still not had any re-call after submitting form. Its very unusual for my local office? They are normally sent within 2 weeks.

That might be a good thing. I have now submitted 2 ESA forms and I waited 5 months the first time, 10 weeks the second and neither time did I have to go for a medical. I was put in the SG twice.

No news can be good news. Atos have such a backlog that longer and longer waits are far from uncommon. With the Xmas holidays fast approaching this will probably only get worse.

Are you sure that Atos received your form and are you still being paid? I know waiting is very difficult and stressful but if you are still being paid that is the main thing and if you are really worried you could always try contacting Atos customer service for an update. The mods will have the contact details if you want them. Good luck and I hope you hear soon.
