Support Group with no 'medical' was created by nofuss
Hi
Just thought I'd post my good news. In May this year I had to fill out and submit an ESA50 for my transfer from IB to contributions based ESA. I've just received a letter today (a full 3 calendar months later) putting me straight into the Support Group with no face-to-face assessment.
The Benefits and Work guides were invaluable in helping me to complete the form and achieve this result.
A big thank you too to all the people who answered the questions that I posted on this forum whilst I was in the process of completing the form - bro58, Gordon, Mrs Hurtyback and others.
One further question though - how can I find out how long it will be before my Support Group 'membership' will be reviewed? I understand that it could be reviewed anywhere between 6 months to 36 months.
Thanks once again
Nofuss

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

That is great news! thank you for letting us know and for your kind words about B+W
Unlike DLA, ESA is not awarded for a fixed term. In theory you could be assessed any time from 3 months to 36 months after the date of the decision. However, in practice, a 'prognosis' is usually entered on the computer and DWP send out reassessment forms about 2 months ahead of this.
You can find out when to expect reassessment by phoning DWP and asking for the prognosis, or you could write and ask for the paperwork associated with your claim.
