Hi all. Please can anyone help?
I have IB paid every fortnight with no problems for many years.
I had the ES50 reply stating I was in support group and they would pay me ESA from 24th July. So I assumed I would have my benefit today ( when my next IB would have been paid).
I am now in a state because I have no money, have no idea why I have not been paid and do not know what or how to deal with this.
Also why have I been sent a P45 now I am off IB? I have re-read the form and defo in support group.
This is not helping my health
anything helpful greatly appreciated thank you

Hi Donna,

Please try not to panic! You have been sent the P45 because your IB has now finished, you don't need to do anything with it, other than keep it for your records.

I have received a P45

ESA is nominally paid on the same day as IB, but IB is always paid a day early and ESA is not - so your money should be in the bank tomorrow (all being well!) :)

Hi D,

It is not unusual for claimants to have problems when their first payments of ESA are initiated.

Hopefully, all will be well tomorrow, but if the ESA does not go into your bank, ring the 0845 number of your ESA letter.

Your first point of contact will be a Call Centre Responder, who may not be that helpful.

If that is the case, request an escalation to a Supervisor/Manager, this will involve a call back.

Once you get to talk to the right person, they can execute a payment into your bank account, the same day.

Many Thanks to Mrs Hurtyback and bro58 for your helpful replies. I was indeed paid today. I wished they had explained they'd pay a day later. I have so much going on that one more thing is way to much. Great website and helpers xx

That is good to hear, D !! :)

Keep your eye on your bank account for the first few ESA payments, so that you can act quickly, if necessary.
