from my income support it looks like I will be better off by 12.35 per week. not sure how they have worked that out as I thought the difference should be less than that, maybe about six pound per week or something.

Many congratulations, the difference may be the Enhanced Disability Premium which is payable to claimants in the Support Group receiving ESA(IR).

income related total 169.10
my income support is 156.75 pw
difference 12.35
i get dla a LOWER RATES for care and mobility.
so totally confused, i dont want to get into the situation of an overpayment. pleased all the same.

Based on what you have posted it sounds correct, the "disability income guarantee" is the same rate as the EDP couples rate.
