To be awarded DLA High Rate Mobility you will need to show that you have significant problems walking, there is no defined distance in the legislation but the test is usually taken to be 50m.
The distance you can walk is not the only factor that should be considered, how fast you walk, how you walk and whether you stumble and fall are also factors that should be considered.
Your current award of LRM has been given for different reasons, so this is not a case of you being worse, you need to prove your mobility problems from scratch.
Have a look at our DLA claim guides for more details.

Any request for a new Decision on your claim, opens the whole claim for re-assessment, so whilst it happens infrequently there is a possibility that you could lose your existing award by making this request.
If you are in doubt about what to do, then you should try and get face to face advice.
