Forced to look for work despite having med cert

At least on many days I can leave the house to do a simple task accompanied, and only very local. I don't deviate. I do what I have to do as quickly as possible and get back indoors. Anything bigger requires a double dose of anxiety med, which the doctor wants me to avoid doing as much as I can, and real psychological effort.
All the best,
Stu.

Just a couple updates and questions. 1)I sent off for the documents on 5/12 and called Glasgow (where the decision letter came from) to confirm receipt on 11/12. They said that it's a seperate private building and they don't have the number. I asked what address I should send the letter, to back up my call. I Was given ATOS' phone no, which sounds to me like an intentional run around. (-Any suggestions there?) However I was told my request for all info was noted on my record, and they will put in a request to them to call me back. They did call, and said they would send the report. So I should receive this any day.
2)I was supposed to be called by the WRAG lady today for the first scheduled phone interview as mentioned earlier in the thread. Bear in mind she told me in the initial WRAG interview that I must be there to take the call at the arranged time or my benefit would be affected. My parents and I have been here all day and she has not called me. Could the results of the latest reassessment have affected this? - I was put on a year's prognosis.
Could she perhaps have consulted her manager as she said she would as mentioned earlier in thread and realised her error of asking me to apply for work and put off the call? If so I'd assume she'd have still called me on time and said something. Next scheduled phone interview is in a month. I'm not sure if I should call her at this stage, what do you guys think?
Just to clarify, am I correct in I will not get an extension of 14 days to appeal to SG for requesting these documents i.e. medical report and score sheet?
Thanks again for all the help so far guys, All the best to everyone

All of your correspondance should be with the DWP, ATOS are only concerned with the assessment and do not retain any of your records.
I'm afraid there is no way we can guess why the advisor did not call, maybe they were of sick?
There are very specific circumstances where the time to appeal can be extended, however, it is perfectly possible for these to have already been met, without you realising it, and as a consequence the extension no longer applying, so our recommendation in all cases is to appeal within the 30 days.

Just wanted to post an update on this, and thank everyone again for the help they gave me. I have been moved from the WRAG to the Support Group as a result of my appeal, thanks to the advice I received from you kind people and the guides you prepare. Although it's just for a year at the moment, I'd imagine that now I'm finally in the SG it will be easier to remain there.
Hopefully with the news today that the courts have ruled the WCA unfair and told the Government to make changes, things will improve. The very fact that they are appealing this decision was 100% predictable and is a clear indicator of how sick in the head these people are.
Thanks again and take care all

Hi S77.
It is good to hear that you have been moved to The SG.

Thanks for letting us know, and for your positive comments.
As an aside, what "Court Ruling" are you referring to regarding The WCA, can you post a link ?

I think Stu is referring to this which concerns the collection of medical evidence during an assessment for claimants with mental health issues.

It is important to note that the DWP say that they intend to appeal this Decision, so there are no plans to change the WCA at this time.
