Hi Justy

I have just been awarded HRC, i have Asthma and ME amongst other things.

When My husband helped me fill in the DLA form we put down things like, i need helping in the night because I fall off my pillows which makes my asthma worse and I have trouble breathing because I cough.
i can't sit myself up and turn round to rearrange my pillows becaiuse of the pain i get due to my ME etc.

Everything he does for me day and night we broke down onto little pieces and everytime we said I cant do this , we backed it up with an example.

We also kept a diary for over night outlining ALL the help i needed from getting into bed, during the night and for how long for. Actually exactly how the guides on here recommend lol.

Hope this is some help.

I know this has been said before, several times.

You don't have to receive care just demonstrate that you need it.

I remember ringing the DWP many years ago when I was attempting to complete my Mum's Attendance Allowance application. Mum lived alone and didn't actually receive any care. I asked if it was OK to explain the problems she had at night, even though she wasn't getting any physical help.

I was told to put everything that my Mum had problems with down on the application.

The same applies with DLA. I live alone and don't receive care from anyone, I get HRC indefinitely!

:)
