I asked the DLA to do a supersession on my case as my care and mobility needs have changed. I was receiving middle rate care and low rate mobility. I was expecting my mobility to go up to high and I knew there was an argument for high rate care. I have the same in some ways worse physical health problems as my husband whose rates were put up at reconsideration last year from low rate care to high rate on both. I have received a rise you will be pleased to know. They have upgraded my care to high rate yet left my mobility at low rate. I am grateful for this and pleased. Re mobility I rang them to ask for a explanation, with what they told me didn't seem to make sense. I checked the guidelines on the DLA website and I am still bemused as I am sure I fit into the high rate mobility. I am not sure whether to appeal or not on the mobility or leave things well alone. My mobility problems breifly are that I have balance issues quite severly. It is difficult for me to use a stick as I have poor grip. I also have issues with my feet swelling. My Doctor did confirm all this in the letter he did me to go in with the form. I would be grateful if anyone was in a position to comment. Thanks in advance.
