ESA Question

1. Mobilising unaided by another person with or without a walking stick, manual wheelchair or other aid if such aid can reasonably be used. Cannot either:

(ii) repeatedly mobilise 50 metres within a reasonable timescale because of significant discomfort or exhaustion.

WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE DEFINE 'REPEATEDLY' FOR ME PLEASE. DOES THIS MEAN CONTINUOUSLY?

It basically means repeating the activity several times within a reasonable timescale. There is no clear definition of how many times it must be repeated or what a reasonable timescale is. That's purely a matter for the tribunal to decide.

As Derek says, there's no formal definition. You need to think how often you could do this, in other words how long you'd need to recover in between each time. And also if you'd have any after-effects like making your symptoms worse.

Put all that information in your evidence at every stage of the process:
* put it in your ESA50 application,
* explain it at your medical,
If you are refused ESA then...
* put it in your appeal letter or other written submission to tribunal,
* explain it in person at the tribunal.
