hello ............im new here

hi im 34 and have erbs palsy due to birth injury, my right side is useless i can onky write with right hand i rely totally on my left side i have problems with my back right side is big strain on body i currently get lowest rate of care but no mobility im waiting major operation on shoulder just wondering if anyone out there has simliar problems or erbs palsy be great here from you

Hi Rachael, I have a friend in a very similar situation to yourself. She works full time and receives Middle Rate Mobility and Care. I appreciate that everyone is affected differently but your award of LRC seems low in comparison. Read the excellent DLA Guides on this site and I hope you find what you are looking for.

Just to say again, do read the guides. As encouraged by the wonderful experts at this site, read them slowly and in small sections. I downloaded them and saved them. If you don't have that ability for whatever reason, maybe a friend can do this for you. The guides ARE INVALUABLE. I go back to them time and time again. The answers are there!
