I sent a link to the DLA form that I used to fill in my request for a DLA review to another chap ex forces he filled it in as of yet not sent me a copy to see :) but he has added up the mins for care,

he has angina stroke asthma blind and incontince (dont think I have missed anything) he is 2 years older than me so thats 54 :silly:

on care durring the day he says 6 hrs 21 mins total and night 36 mins :woohoo: no if our mps where like him we would have no problems I suspect he put a stop watch on everything done for him repeated it did it over three days and took and averaage (trainspotter)

I said if what you added up is correct you could if lucky get middle care but no idea if your anywhere near enough night care to get anything now

he is going to get the legion to help ith mobility but seems happy ith the care side of the form

I looked at chapter 61 and all stuff here and think he has a decent case, is this what he should be looking at ?

Hi dave,

The DLA guides in the members area give details of the criteria for different levels of care. If the level of care was accepted by the DWP it would be within the range for an award of the higher rate of the care component, depending on how care needs throughout the day were spread.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
