DLA WASTE OF TIME was created by noeline
Hi all
after 27 weeks of stress sorting out my dla claim finaly got a letter NO award given????.
after they lost the original application and made me fill out another again wich was a very good account of the care i need. on last friday my gp posted his very supportive report they would have recived it on tuesday and made the decision on tuesday by the date on the letter, it was a ver well detailed and supported claim they based there decision on my claim form and my gp report so how the heck can they award nothing.
they have ignord every thing stated.
i was hopeing for hrm/mrc,yes i am appealing but i am left so angry that in my oppinion if that was an informed decision on the facts there is no hope for anyone.
sorry for rant but as i am sure many of you have suffered the same fate what a way to save money just so NO

Hi Noeline,
27 weeks is but a short time for DLA to be awarded it took Me 2.5years including enlisting the help of the CAB,
HR mobility awarded from May 2010 to August 2011.
Due to improvement in condition it's unlikely I will receive any further award.
Do not give up just keep plugging away they can be worn down.

hi noeline,

I applied for DLA and was refused and I am taking that to appeal. However, I was advised to reapply for DLA citing the exact same condition and it was awarded with no question and used the same supporting letter from my GP and carer.

A reapplication might not be appropriate for yourself so get the appeal in, in writing, and see what happens from here.

Best wishes, do not let them get you down !

Noeline - I expect you've found it, but in case you haven't, there's a guide to DLA appeals in the Help for Claimants section.
