esa and support group was created by rachel
I recieved my letter after ten minute medical to say i have been placed in the support group, it also states i am getting contributory based and income related employment and support allowance, it states at the bottom of the page the amounts on this page apply from 23rd april to 3rd june, does this mean my rates change or thats the end of me being in the support group, i also hear that i have to pay tax on it because its classed as contributory based and income related , it says this in the pink leaflet that i got when i first went sick, totel payable per week is 183.85 for me as a couple rate , my partners carers allowance is taken off, so we are left withy 129.95,

ESA(IB/CB) is paid indefinitely until such time as you become subject to the WCA again.

The point at which you may become subject to the WCA, is not normally determined in advance. If it was pre-determined you should have been notified in the ESA decision letter. The only other reason why the rate of ESA is likely to decrease, is if there is an impending change of circumstances of which the DWP are already aware. If not, you may wish to contact the Jobcentreplus/BD office which deals with your claim?

I don't know whether you were also querying the rate of your ESA, but the rate as stated is correct for a couple of which one is in the support group, and the other receives Carers' Allowance, which is classed as income for ESA purposes and therefore is deducted fron the applicable amount of £183.85.
