OT visit was created by anne
I was visited yestrday by someone from the local Occupational Therapy Service with a view to providing some physical aids and a referral to a physiotherapist. I was required to sign a form giving my consent to information being passed to other interested parties. My Q is does this OT visit have any bearing on my IB/DLA claim? I ask because the last visit (some time ago) seemed to coincide with a flurry of questionairres and a medical and I do not want to go through all that again.

Hi Anne,

I don't know of any method by which a report from an OT would be automatically passed on to the DWP.

But the consent that claimants sign in relation to many benefits claims does give the DWP the power to contact the OT if they are looking at your claims.

Good luck,

Steve
