Congratulations Chelle, that's fantastic news. I'm surprised that it takes as long as a month to get a backpayment. When I got one - many years ago - I'm sure it only took a couple of weeks.

In fact, I got a letter saying it would be paid into my account the following week, then I discovered the money had already been in my account for days. So keep checking your account! At least you know it's coming! So pleased for you xxx

Brilliant news! :woohoo: .....well done for managing the tribunal....time for a little R & R me thinks.
Your happy tale just goes to show that a positive outcome can happen.
I think I waited approx 6 weeks for my backpayment....but that was 7+ years ago, so it may have speeded up in recent years.
I'm really pleased for you

Thanks again everyone and I hope this will give people hope because I had really started to give up.

I rang DLA today to see if they have had my paperwork from the tribunal - they have not but I am very worried now again as been told now more then twice that although my tribunal was a success the DLA still have to run through my application again once the decision is back from tribunal and then they make a final decision..... I thought once the Tribunal has been and got my decision in writing on the day then that was it I could relax a bit and stop worrying about the financial side but looks like im wrong. Lady at DLA told me again today that no it is still down to DLA at Blackpool to make this decision and not the Tribunal ????? Im really shocked and confused. They said looking at about 6 - 8 weeks before I will hear anything as they have backlog on these and they will need to write to me again to confirm my bank acc etc but by no means is this the final decision ! I am hoping she is talking rubbish and just in a mood and taking the edge off my happiness ! Anyone else been told this ?

Thank you
