AR2 Form was created by Jane52
Is it the AR2 form I will be sent when asked to renew my pip next year. Was awarded Pip at tribunal for 10 years, stating on both daily living and mobility that it is inappropriate to fix a term.
Tribunal no longer have any records of this, but I do have copy of tribunal award. Would it be helpful to send this Tribunal outcome with need to renew PIP. Tribunal outcome says how it relied on what I said and what was in bundle to reach decision when award originally made. If AR2 form do I need to send much medical evidence post award or can I just say "no change" on form. Is it right if AR1 form I would have to give more evidence. Am age 67, in receipt of state pension so is it AR2 form I will be sent. Bit confused re who is sent AR1 form and who is sent AR2 form, and whether can just be brief on AR2 form or not

Thank you

Hi Jane52

Here is the BenefitsandWork News item on the PIP AR2 form for state pensioners and those with ongoing awards.

My husband has received PIP (formally DLA) for 30plus years both enhanced. He is now 78 and has received the AR2 form which thankfully does not go into the detail of his previous award which was 10yrs ago.
I am still going to fill all boxes with detail, he obviously has deteriorated but if you just tick the boxes on the form with no details i feel this will go against his continued claim, my only worry is that the form must be returned by 18th Sept and the post is dreadfull i will send it tracked or recorded delivery Good Luck to everyone, the DWP like to keep us on our toes 😒

Thank you Linz. Interesting to hear how other people are deciding to approach the AR2 form. I sent my Pip recorded delivery ten years ago,, also tracking it with proof of posting. They do not hold any records for me after 10 years, so am tempted to send evidence as historical evidence supports current evidence and Tribunal decision as that is a legal document. Hope it goes well for you
