Just sending good wishes for you and your son Sum.
Our relative still panics out and about when she sees the manageress who deliberately ensured her 'phased return' was the end of her job.... TEN years ago.

Thanks, Sum, I really appreciate your reply. Your son's story echoes our own recent experience; I could have written it, word for word. This all happened last summer, and he was fortunate enough to be offered another job in January, but now the same thing is happening all over again............

denby, you're so right - it only takes one difficult person, especially if they are in a position of authority (as most bullies are).

All we can do is hope things work out for the best in the end.
