Replied by Judith on topic UC Claim Review Introductory Appointment
Hi all,

The tasks have appeared in my son’s to do list and it’s all about sending them 4 months of bank/savings statements.

So I suspect that the original appointment my son was sent, which was then deleted, will be resent in due course and will be to discuss the statements. Last time he had to do this it seemed to be about checking he wasn’t getting other sources of income eg from a job.

So, not about reassessing his eligibility for UC, phew!

If anything changes I’ll let you know!

Hi Judith , I've had same message. tel call booked for this weds , but this clashes with my hospital appt so have asked for it to be rescheduled. Keen to understand what's expected.

I recvd a reminder about the tel appt, despite me posting a message on the UCJ explaining i cant take the call while in hospital.

Sooo ... i called UC to reiterate. Agent took details again and sent to JC to reschedule. 🤞🏽

Thanks to your update Judith , i've asked son to ready his bank stms. Hope he remembers.

Hi

I've submitted Clmts bank stm x2 times. For some reason theres an issue with the pdf upload on DWP end .

UCJ DWP message today says ' The Metro statements have not been uploaded correctly.

We will require Bank Statements of the account the Universal Credit is paid into, for the period of 15/10/25 to 14/2/26.'

I am appointee - are they asking for my bank stms now. The metro stms were clmt acct ?

Hi Sum

They want you to post them the bank statements of whichever bank account the money is paid into.

They should have clarified this requirement in the initial 'introductory meeting' - but DWP aren't good on communication as we know.

It would save time and stress for claimants you'd think .... maybe that's their intention, if 'press' is to be believed !

i'm not comfortable with sharing my bank stms. I have nothing to hide but it feels so intrusive, exposing household bills n spending. I do understand the need to protect public funds etc but my privacy is important.

I am appointee for a number of vulnerable adults. Its become difficult for me to keep track. i've requested change of appointee for one person and for a another person the DWP visiting officer didn't take my bank account details , so they still get payments direct to their accts thankfully.

I've decided to open a separate account for clmts bens - It will be easier for me to track.
