Hi our son was awarded highest rate pip for daily living and mobility. He was given an ongoing award in 2017 and it states we will contact you after May 2027. I am aware the reassessment form could come any time before or after. My main question is do you tick no change as he hasn’t had any changes, and leave it at that or do I provide examples of how his condition continues to affect him. I don’t want to end up writing war and peace but also don’t want to make the mistake of not providing enough information. I have up to date medical information to send and would assume it would be an AR2 form. Any advice would be appreciated
There is advice about how to fill in AR2 in the Guide to PIP Claims and Reviews - Page 132 onwards. One of our members reported recently that they regretted filling in no change (on behalf of their son) and not writing anything because they suddenly found that they had to do a telephone assessment and the award has been reduced. So even if you say 'no change', you would be advised to write a couple of sentences for each question about what hasn't changed in case you get an assessor who doesn't bother to look back at previous notes.
