ESA Credits - UC - LCWRA was created by ConfusedMelon8
I had a phone call to say my young adult was eligible for ESA credits only, for 12 months. But when I asked about an assessment for LCWRA he was unable to advise.
I’m wanting to apply for my child’s UC but I don’t know if I can without receiving the LCWRA. Could this have been awarded without a F2F, medical or ESA50? Form?
To note they receive enhanced PIP for both.
We had a lengthy assessment on call when applying for the credits. Then we submitted the fit notes, then we had this call to say eligible for credits only.
What do I need to do now? I’m so confused.

Hi David, sorry I lost my post.
Yes I’ve been told that it has to be credits only as they are still classed as a student despite being off sick.
I have since received a letter saying they cannot be paid any money due to not paying any NI contributions.
I have now also received a capability for work form.
How do payments work if they’ve not paid any NI.

It is not that straight forward, you need to seek specialist advice from your local Welfare Rights Organisation: advicelocal.uk where they can take all your circumstances into consideration when giving you advice.
