My workplace pension may be increased due to a mistake on their part, if they give back pay will I have to pay back any over payment from my contribution based esa as this is not my mistake. I understand my esa will reduce according to the new payment its just having to pay money back that worries me as I was in no way at fault but accept I will have been overpaid if this is back dated
This money is in what they call a pension pot. Can you not talk to the pension company administrator and ask for this payment to be made officially as a lump sum withdrawal from the pension pot? In that case it will be completely disregarded.
