ESA to UC Migration was created by GVN
Hi
I'm in the midst of the migration from ESA to UC & I've received a message on my UC journal stating that:
"Some other benefits can affect how much Universal Credit you get. You can continue to claim these benefits, but we will adjust your Universal Credit payment. Your statement shows you how we do this.
Our records show that you are getting:
Employment and Support Allowance"
Well yes, that's why I'm currently transferring.
It also lists a dozen or so benefits including ESA & then states:
"If you are also getting one or more of these benefits as well as the ones we already know about, you must contact the office you claim them from. Tell them you're now getting Universal Credit and to update their records."
So do I need to do anything? Surely the fact it's migration tells them that ESA will be ending? I'm a bit confused or is this just for info?
Thank you.

Hi GVN
There is nothing for you to worry about at the moment.
What you need to do is keep an eye on the To Do's in your UC account and respond to any Journal messages for your attention.

Hi David
Thank you for your reply.
So I don't need to contact ESA office & tell them the migration process is currently ongoing? That's one less thing to worry about then, although I wonder if I'm one of those with entitlement to ESA CB & may still get that element separately. Will have to wait & see.
Thank you.

Hi GVN
The DWP should have got it's act together now as Managed Migration is coming to an end. UC and ESA should have learned how to communicate.
