Recieved a Text informing me that my phone assessment was at 8.00am next Sunday (Aug 17). I phoned Capita she explained that the system picks the assessment appointments including dates, times etc. She was happy to re-arrange for Friday (Aug 22) but I had to accept that I cannot CANCEL again. As if on a Sunday at 8.00am was acceptable? Not sure if others have been given similar Sunday assessment appointments or am I the only one?

I've heard of someone being offered one on a Saturday - but never Sunday before. I had a look at their website and there's nothing about the days they do assessments.

If, by any chance, something goes wrong and you have to change the appointment, I think you would have a good case for arguing with the DWP that the first offer doesn't count, as it was unreasonable. Make a note of everything that has occurred just in case you have to raise it as an issue.
