UC migration questions. was created by lollo1
Hi me again. I am going through the to do list for our daughter. I have a few questions if anyone has any answers or experience it would be appreciated or sign post me to elsewhere.

Do you declare paypal account even with a zero balance and if so where do you do this?

Do you get to explain that you are an appointee and do I have to click on the claimant commitment then explain in the journal that she has an appointee, as I am aware she will not have to do a claimant commitment due to having an appointee ?

Do you have to declare you bank balances every month even under £6000 and in LCWRA group ?

Also our daughter is currently having some dental work done which currently is under IR ESA so no charge, what happens with any treatment costs between the 2 week run on and first UC payment. ?

Lastly as an appointee do I put into the journal once its up and running that I will be abroad between certain dates and will not have access to her journal ?

Many Thanks.

Hi lollo1

You have to declare any saving accounts as UC is a means tested benefit

As for an Appointee I am not sure of the procedure and would contact the UC helpline: 0800 328 5644/5646/9344

You do not have to declare bank balances every month, you do need to declare any savings over £6k

Any treatment cost between IR ESA and UC may be problematic, I have come across a few clients who have fallen foul of and been hit with a fine for claiming free treatment.

As to your last question, I do not know the answer, ask when you contact UC helpline.
