pip 10 yrs was created by sally-jane
good morning, my 10 yr pip ends march 26 after a supersession due to an error.
(originally I had been informed I would here from them june. 25)
I wondered what you think might happen, perhaps I will hear from them anytime from now ? or sometime after march 26?
Hopefully they will not just stop payment in March 26 and leave me penniless, I am beginning to get worried. I do get a S.P.
I will not contact them as they have to date, always screwed everything up and I cannot cope with the stress side of it anymore.
I know tis a bit like what whatever and how long is a piece of string scenario, but dwp are never the best to deal with or understand, especially with the changes afoot.
Thank you one and all xx

Hi sally-jane

They should contact you before March 26 by sending you a short review form, so there is no break in your payments. Now, I have heard of several people who were on ten-year awards and received review notices after their end date (with no break in payments). However, although that could happen to you, I would not expect it - I think that happened to them because the DWP have been dealing with a large backlog and has prioritised new cases over reviews.

They put on their notes to review ‘from’ 9 years (in a 10 year award).
If I were you I would start your ‘evidence gathering’ now (GP notes/ hospital letters/ meds/ physio whatever).

Any support letter requests, I wouldn’t request just yet, but get people’s details ready.

I would phone up for a form 3 months before your award end date if you haven’t heard from them by then.

Request any support letters at the same time.

It always takes ages to get everything together, so do this now. Also include your ‘award history’ in your application.

Do not presume they know anything at all about you.

Take care.
