PIP contacted me today with uprated award.

After my mandatory reconsideration was rejected and with the encouragement from Bis, I put an appeal for full mobility the last week of May. The DWP said am I happy to receive a lump sum payment into my bank account. My question is the mandatory reconsideration and appeal are linked to a PIP review that started in June 24. I believed at that review I should have received full mobility. Does anybody know if the back payment will be from the start of the review from June 24 or will it be from the date the review award was decided earlier this year. I think in March.

Thank You Bis, I thought that March would be the date, but hopeful thinking that they would back date the lump sum to June last year. Thank for your encouragement to appeal the decision. I would have given up without it.

Hi Bis,

Just received a letter from the DWP confirming the new award for full mobility allowance. It said it is from 05 May 2024. I am very happy with it is from when the review started.
