There is something wrong with your website, I did not get a message about mod reviewing, so reposting.

Something has gone wrong with my migration. I am no longer able to do ID verification online!
Because of this, they are insisting on a Biographical interview, either on the phone or in person.

I am unable to do these as I’m very ill, I don’t think I should be ‘operating machinery’, I cannot stay awake, my mind is completely exhausted, I cannot think straight, comprehension is shattered, etc. I have what is needed for online verification i.postimg.cc/hjmfYJFR/UC-ID-Actual.png, a passport and a phone bill – BT landline.

However, I was not expecting this as it is different to your guidebook i.postimg.cc/bwKPBmqd/UC-ID-Actual.png. Here I was going to use my passport and P60. The dramatic difference panicked me, and failing to comprehend that I would have been OK with a phone bill clicked on ‘I don’t have two of these items’, to see what it said. It said they would phone me in a few days about a Biographical appointment. As that is impossible for me, I went to bed in distress, intending to contact you the next day, as I was totally shattered by this point.

In the morning, self-ID had disappeared from my To-do list, and a telephone appointment had been made for the next day, for a telephone Biographical interview. I have contacted them and they have moved the telephone interview by a week, or they can do a home visit, either of which I am not capable of.

I have inserted this in my journal: “Please be aware I have complex needs. Due to anxiety, I am unable to deal with telephone calls or visits to the Jobcentre and so need all communication to be in writing.”

But it has made no difference.

They say they cannot put self-ID back into my To-do. This cannot be possible, you don’t design computer systems like this, as it will result in a textbook easy migration to someone swinging on a rope – I know about computer systems.

I have asked you twice for help, no, they don’t tell you what to do, and I cannot comprehend what is been said. Will you please help, I have access to no one else and if I cannot self-ID my UC claim will fail and I am totally screwed as starting the migration process stops your ESA even if it fails, as I understand it.

My health is declining rapidly, and I need to contact my Doctor, but I am unable to do this until this is resolved, as my doctor's situation is as big a disaster as this.

I am in the support group.

Hi TBA

I'm sorry that you have been waiting for your post to be answered, but you won't ever receive a message that we are reviewing posts - that's not how the forum works. You write a post and submit it, and once there is a moderator to approve and answer it, the post will then be published and become visible.

I'm sorry that you have been unable to verify your identification online. I know many people who have been unable to go back after clicking, as you did. It is frustrating - but whether it is a glitch or just the way the system is set up - I can't tell you. I also know of some who were unable to submit even with the correct documents, as the system would not accept the details they entered.

I know that you have already told them that you are unable to take part in a telephone call or have a home visit. I would try writing again and remind them politely that they are legally obliged under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments for someone with a disability. Therefore, I would repeat that you are unable to participate in a telephone call or have a home visit or visit a job centre and ask what alternatives there are to verify your identification, as the online verification is no longer available to you. See if they will come up with a solution. The only one I have heard of is someone being verified through their GP, but this would not be commonplace. I would also add a couple of lines about your health deteriorating as a result of this.

If they don't come up with something, you can put in a formal complaint through your journal to the service leader for your area. You can find the relevant person from the government website here www.gov.uk/government/publications/local...plus-service-leaders

I'm sorry that I don't have anything else to suggest. If your health is deteriorating then I would not delay contacting your doctor.

I saw one when I first posted that explains my post was being moderated before being posted. But next time I posted a message, I got no moderation message, and my post was not posted. Therefore, the only logical conclusion is that there has been a system failure.

An example of how extra broken I am currently now is visible in my OP where I tried to show the difference between what you say is needed for self-validation and what they say they want, but only succeeded in posting what they wanted twice.

So, you i.postimg.cc/B6y77KRJ/B-W-Self-Verify.png , them i.postimg.cc/hjmfYJFR/UC-ID-Actual.png. Why is the self-verification section in your handbook wrong? For ultra wrong, you have P60 listed, NO, it is not valid. Obviously, I had decided to use my passport and P60 as they send one every year. So, when I hit the real self-verification requirements, a brick wall in my new, even more broken state.

I asked for help with the self-verification, but at best, I received none. Why was I not told that if you click ‘I do not have 2 of these items’, you will be thrown into your own unescapable version of hell? I do mean hell, but I'm not prepared to describe it on a forum.

I am helping a friend with their migration; they are a bit behind me. We were intending to fly through self-validation, using our passports and P60 as per your handbook. Seeing my self-validation go down in flames, has had a metal and physical affect on them, because they are support group drooler as well but more skittish than me.

It turns out that I have gold standard for self-validation and would have been OK if I had not read your handbook.

I would love to see my GP. I was hoping to 10/7, but now this has cascaded, and for some reason, I’m now on new-style ESA as well as UC. But this means I have another interview coming up next month now, and so I am now looking at mid next month before I can see GP as I can only do one thing at a time and this first.

I have posted a new thread about the new-style ESA nightmare. I will include the URL when this is posted.

Hi TBA

I don't want to argue with you, but a P60 is valid. I have personal experience of being with a relative last week when the DWP came to their home and the P60 was accepted as part of the verification process. You will also see it on the government website - so our guide is not incorrect.

I'm sorry that you feel we are not providing you with sufficient help, but we cannot predict what will happen when people click on certain parts of the UC system. We had no part in building it, nor can we control the glitches that are in it. It's not even possible for us to write a guide with all the things that could happen because we have no idea whether something is a glitch or someone has incorrectly filled out information. I get that you're frustrated, but the volunteer mods on the forum are not to blame for the horrible position that you find yourself in.
