Child DLA was created by onestep

HI

My Son turned 16 recently, and about a week later I received a letter saying I would have to claim PIP for him now. Is this correct? I was under the impression that because he will go into college this September he can continue to receive child DLA.

Yes it is correct, I did read that DWP were going to increase the age of DLA to 18, but I am not sure when it will come in. see Gov web site: www.gov.uk/disability-living-allowance-children/eligibility
