I am currently on enhanced daily living, and standard mobility. I asked for a reassessment, as since my last award, I have have had veins surgery on both legs after clots and I have recently had lung cancer surgery, which has left me breathless when I walk. I am obviously worried as I know they look at the whole thing again. Do they take into consideration your last award at all? I did do the last pip form myself, but is it better to get citizens advice to help? Thank you
They don't always look at the whole thing - it depends on what you said (and a bit of luck) If you reported a change of circumstances and asked them to look at your mobility award, there's a chance that they would just look at that. However, if you just asked them to 'review' your case, they may send you a form and expect you to complete it all and make a judgment on everything. It's a hit-and-miss system.
You are the expert of your condition and we have very good advice on how to complete the form. Only you can decide whether you need help from the CAB. Just bear in mind they don't have much time and some members have complained that the CAB have not said what they would have said themselves.
