Esa/uc migration again was created by A-nobody
Have received my letter instructing me to migrate to Universal Credit from Income related ESA
I am married .
I am in support group
Get full PIP both components
Told years ago that i would not need to have any more medical assessments as long as my health condition does not improve after a home visit (dwp have stuck to that )
* My wife works up to 20 hours a week and wants to continue doing so after we migrate to UC , however she feels unable to work more hours than that because she is in poor health herself.
How can she achieve this please? She is terrified that DWP will force her to work more hours.
Thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi A nobody
If your wife is unable to get an exemption from full time work conditionality she should get her expected hours of work reduced by the number of hours that she cares for you.
Let me know how you get on.

I may have misled you.She is not my registered carer and does not intend to be . She wants to continue in her part time job of about 18 hours a week ( that is all she feels able to do) and because she is in poor health doesnt feel able to work full time .

Hi A nobody
In that case she will need a Fit Note with the option Altered Hours ticked stating the maximum hours that she can work for health reasons.
