UC Migration - what to include as 'treatments' was created by Sowandgrow
Hi there, migrating from ESA support group to UC - I just wanted to check about medication.
The form asks if you're recieving or expecting to recieve medical treatments - does this include listing all medications you're prescribed, or is it just things like physio, surgeries, therapy etc?
Thanks so much and solidarity to everyone out there.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Sowandgrow
As you are in the Support Group UC staff should not be questioning your health. So to a question asking what treatment I would answer " treatment ". They cannot trigger a WCA nor can a Work Coach request one as an act of retribution.

Thanks David, the question about treatments is on the initial migration claim form - you would just fill in 'treatment' there and nothing else?
I had to submit my claim yesterday (was having a last minute muddle), and I already included all my meds, reviews and things I'm on waiting lists for etc. 😖
I hope I've not given them too much information... it's done now so I'll just have to cross my fingers and stand my ground if they try anything. Thanks for reinforcing that this shouldn't trigger an assessment.
I haven't had a WCA for a long time, so I've been wondering if I may be flagged for one after migration in response to having drawn attention to myself...
Thanks for all the advice and support - if I get anything untoward back I'll be sure to post. If it all goes smoothly I'll also report back for other members.

In my view, this is not advisable.
Whilst it may be the case that an ESA to UC migration claim can't trigger a reassessment, it's not the claimant's place to second guess the reason for the questions on the form or to deliberately withhold information to prevent the DWP making a mistake.
Arguably, a DWP official is just as likely to mark a form "incomplete"—and potentially delay the claim—if the claimant tries to avoid answering a question as they are to wrongly request a reassessment were the question answred in full.
The B&W Successful ESA to UC Managed Migration guide (May 2025) is clear: "You should work through each item on [the form's to-do list] to ensure you complete the form fully." Pages 18–19 of the guide discuss steps the claimant can take to help ensure that a reassessment isn't wrongly requested.
