Seeking advice re wait for PIP review was created by Jot
I am hoping that someone might be able to help me as I am becoming increasingly anxious and worried.
Basically.....
I sent my PIP review form back October 2024.
I received a letter in January 2025 saying they still working on it.
I recieved a further letter 2 days ago saying they are still working on it and I may still need an assessment.
What I am wanting to know from others is whether I should be worried about the length of time (as I am). Also whether I should be doing something.
Any help would be very gratefully appreciated.

Hi Jot,
Honestly - No, don't worry about this. The fact that they're keeping you updated shows that they have your paperwork. They usually update you every 3 months or so, and sometimes it can take months, even going on past a year, due to the number of claimants. My assessment back in 2020, didn't get dealt with until 2022 - so yes, unfortunately, it can be a lengthy process.
Chris.

I sent mine back in August 2024 and heard nothing for 5 months then in February 2025 g a letter stating they were extending my current claim for 12 months as they sill had not made a decision. Then in March got the actual decision. I wouldn't worry.
