PIP Renewal Form Overwhelming was created by wolfchile
Ive become very unwell lately and have been treated badly by NHS so all my time taken up with serious health issues and other very stressful events. I have now received PIP renewal form which has been delayed about 2 years. Last one I filled in was in 2021 and things have changed a lot.
I have just received it and have to have back before the end of the month but they say to allow 10 days for them to receive it. This gives me less than a week to fill it in I tried to call the DWP to ask for extension but was on hold for an hour then cut off and I have been feeling too Ill to keep doing it. There is no advice agencies in my area whasover.
I don't know where to start filling it in. I can't see. I have lost of my sight. This makes it even harder and I am in so much pain. I have so many different medical conditions I don't know how to fill in the descriptors as I have several conditions and there isn't enough space on the form and I don't want to sending in reams and reams of extra papers. It's like trying to do a dissertation in a few days. I am completely overwhelmed and cannot think straight. For example there is space for about three medications and I have at least 20 on repeat probably more and listing each one and side effects for each one is too much considering all side effects roll into one. I looked on the dudes on this site but becuase I have so many different medicla conditions it's hard to write about them all when you are not feeling well.
Then there's the evidence. Hospitals don't even send letters anymore so it's trawling through the NHS looking for letters to download then attempting to print them all. This will create about hundred letters I cannot print them all. There's far too many and most of them inaccurate or judgemental so they won't help. I am desperate and struggling alone as usual. I can never access any help. I don't know where to start I feel like I am drowning.

Hi wolfchile
I'm sorry that you find yourself in this position.
I know hanging on can be dispiriting and stressful, especially when you keep getting cut off - but I implore you to try again. You will be granted an extension. You don't want to put your claim at risk if you need a new deadline. If you can't fill in the form and/or you can't get any extra help, you need to speak to someone at the DWP and explain your current circumstances. They have a department for claimants who are particularly vulnerable - try to get through and ask for help.
You don't have to send in reams of paper - many people have multiple conditions. If you're overwhelmed, focus on the key ones and how they apply to the specific PIP questions. If you can only fill in part of the form, it is better to send in one partially completed form than not send it in at all. You do not need to send in information that you sent in on previous occasions.
Do you have your papers from 2021? As this is a review, you can say to each question that your issues are the same or have deteriorated since 2021 and simply add a couple of sentences.
You say you have issues with your sight. If you do have a friend or family member who could help you - the Guide to PIP claims and reviews has the information - from page 118 onwards.
