My pip review papers went in a few days before after I extended their return from December to 31 January. Since then my daughter has given me a birthday present of a 12 day holiday with her and the family in the first 2 weeks of june. My pip award ends in august this year. My problem is how long before I know about my likely medical interview and should I let dwp know I will be away for those 12 days in case they contact me or send me a request to come for a interview. I always think with dwp let sleeping dogs lie but it would be just my luck that they would call me for review just as Im away. If that happened what could/would they do if they cant get hold of me? It’s hard to know if this would even be a problem as there appear to be quite long delays at the moment. Thanks in advance for your help.
If you're away and you miss an assessment date, they will mark it down that you didn't respond or attend, and they will send you a second assessment date. It's not likely that the two dates would arrive while you're away, as they don't usually act that quickly. However, you can inform them that you will be out of the country just before you go, and that should prevent it from happening. As you're getting so close - you may soon get a date or you may find they are going to extend again. BIS
