PIP REVIEW was created by Tigerlily11
Hi,
I am filling in my PIP review form AR1 at the minute. I was wondering if it would it be ok for me to ask for a Light Touch Review for my next assessment as my needs are not going to get any better or should I say nothing? I do not want to rub them up the wrong way if you know what I mean.
Thank you for your thoughts on this,
Jessica

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Tigerlily11
The DWP decides who will get a Light Touch Review, and so far, it has been those with an ongoing award (ten years) and those with a planned award review date due on or at State Pension age" . Overally PIP award lengths have been shortened and there are many claimants with lifelong conditions that are not going to improve, that are currently not being given ongoing awards nor light touch reviews.
There's nothing to stop you from making the request.

Hi Bis,
thank you for your reply. I got a 5 year award for PIP so I am probably clutching at straws.
I will not mention it as I really do not want to antagonise them.
