UC claim and UC50 form was created by Tragobon
I have LPA for a friend of mine who has front lobe dementia. I have applied for UC as she has been forced out of work on medical retirement. I have completed all forms and sent them back promptly including evidence of her condition. I have heard today that she is entitled to the standard amount and an amount for her Council rent. There is no mention of additional amount for her disability at all. She has not been invited in for an interview. Does this mean that think she is fit for work?

I completed the UC50 form and sent this back with evidence, sorry I was not clear in my initial post. I am new to all the UC applications. I also applied for ESA as advised by an ESA employee, only to get a phone call the other day to say whatever is given for ESA will be taken off UC and I will end up with double the forms to keep filling in. she said she couldnt advise me but it will be a lot of additional work for me.

Sorry, the proof was medical evidence, diagnosis, results of brain scans, Occupational Health reports explaining in full how this disease is affecting my friend.

Hi Tragobon
The way that UC works is that they put you in the Work Related Conditionality group until you have had a DWP medical assessment known as a WCA. So I have even had a client paralysed by a stroke in the Work Related group. It is the Work Coaches discretion whether you get invited to the Jobcentre. That's what has been causing problems recently.
You must supply the DWP with Fit Notes until the result of the WCA.
