BEWRE!!!!!! I’ve recently had a telephone assessment review. When we received the decision, you could not call it a report it was appalling. A Mandatory Reconsideration Request was lodged and the assessors report asked for. The so called Health Professional was not as he seemed. When the call finished we had questions. The assessor had insinuated that I would not have to go through it all again. He was very understanding and sympathetic. At the start of the call, when asked if he had knowledge of my illness, he said he was being tested for. It. I fear now this was a cunning move . He was very understanding and sympathetic but it was game play. He’s played me like a fiddle. His report was full of his medical assessment. I Anyone reading that report would think that he’s had treated me for years and had actually been to my home. He then twisted and even lied about things I had said, to suit his own narratives . We also got a copy of the form the GP sent back. There was hardly anything on and it was incorrectly completed. When called regards this, the practice said it’s probably because they haven’t got ALL my paper notes and it’s not up to date. I go there every five weeks, have multiple drugs every month and in between. They’ve also seen me referred me.. it’s absolutely appalling. If that’s not enough. My husband helped me do the MRR and it was sent today. Then through the post, I get another form from DWP wanting me to basically fill out the form or I could loose my money that has been cut from enhanced for both to standard daily living only. In the same post was a letter from DWP acknowledging my request for a MRR. I’m exhausted mentally and physically. Has anyone else had this happen. This is far from equality . It’s discrimination.

Hi Indiana

I'm sorry that you had such an appalling time. You are certainly not the first member to report that you thought you had a nice assessor only to find they were nothing of the sort. Don't feel bad about this - because some assessors are cunning and it's impossible to tell. I'm sorry that your GP clearly didn't help the situation with their report.

I hope that you will receive a better outcome with your MR.
