Thank you. What I really want to know then, is will claimants on Contributory ESA be able to top up with Universal Credit once our limited savings have dropped or will we be classed as new claimants for Universal Credit? I appreciate that the answer to my question may still be unknown.

Hi Sasha

Claimants in receipt of CB-ESA (legacy benefits) would have to apply for UC if their savings go below £16k and they are eligible to claim UC.
