Hi fellow claimants who are all feeling stress right now (yep. that's all of us).
I'm an appointee and sent in the UC50 3 months ago for a first time claimant. I haven't heard anything back but I do know they contacted her GP. I also know her GP replied to them a month ago.
I thought I would have heard by now if there is an assessment interview to have.
Obviously with what is happening in the news regarding upcoming changes, I wonder if they are withholding next actions until they know more?
Are people presently receiving appointments for assessments?
Or, am I jumping the gun and this is the normal timeframe to wait it out?
Hopefully, we will have members who can tell you about their experience. First-time claimants are supposedly being prioritised, but with all the other changes, they have a backlog in all areas. You can always ring and ask about the timescale.
