PIP review

Hi all

This is my first post so I hope I'm doing it right.

I'm having a PIP review and wife currently filling in the forms. we have read the guides they are very helpful and with them secured PIP first time round on enhanced daily and standard mobility via paper based assessment for PTSD, anxiety and depressive disorder-Most disabling would be PTSD but its usually cycles of the 3 !. (To anybody who hasn't used the guides they are a must and really helpful)

To keep it short as possible. I'm wondering has anybody moved from 11E cannot undertake any journey to 11 D or 11F? or even lost their award ? I'm intrigued to see peoples experiences/insights. As always I will be honest with them and not much has changed daily living wise, except for the going out section. My original award was a 3 year award or just over 3 years. I was awarded during a lengthy crisis and could not leave the house at all for most of 2022/2023 then had another crisis lasting about 3-4 months in 2024. I was put on diazepam 3 times a day for a few months (on top of 3 usual medications-still on them). So even though i still have days I just cannot leave the house at all (roughly 10 days a months) since the 3 months on diazepam and last crisis I can leave the house more but never alone due effects of PTSD and anxiety really(fear of being attacked again). I will be telling them this and scared to death they will say ok you're better now? and remove whole award !!!

Anyone offer any advice at all ? I know no-one can offer any guarantees but I guess i'm hoping someone been through similar and any advice at all really. First time having a review too

Thanks so much for replying ! I didn’t realise I’d had a reply until just now. Your reply is very helpful as I was pretty stuck on what to put down mobility wise. I will make sure I document how I feel when trying to go out.

It’s so nerve wracking having a review as I’m sure everyone in this forum would appreciate. I will again request paper based assessment and invite them to contact doctors.


I will be sure to update the forum when it’s done incase others may have a similar situation


I’m just afraid they will seize on an improvement in going out doors and say everything’s better 🤦‍♂️ oh well I will remain truthful and have to deal with any bricks in the road. There’s always this forum to assist which is brilliant
