MR decision was created by Jayf
Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me, my circumstances had changed in October 2022 resulting in me needing more help and my physical and mental health deteriorating, and even though I informed them the DWP did not send a review form until February 2024, after all the stress and anxiety of 9 month waiting for my PIP review I received a decision letter in November 2024 stating that even though my circumstances had changed they didn’t think my PIP would change for standard of both DL and mobility. There was no reason given, just a couple of lines off words, If I was given an assessment they would have known that I was given new medication which had to be increased, referrals, management programs, medication apps, anxiety apps and a lot more information that they would have got. I called them and asked for a MR, I sent in all the new relevant information by special delivery and they text me to inform me that they would be looking into my MR by the 21st of March this year. Well out off the blue I got a call from the DWP case manager on Wednesday 12th off February, the lady asked me a few questions and then told me to a decision would be made that day and I would get a letter in a week, she ended by asking if I could handle a lumsum back payment which I replied yes. Me feeling terribly anxious I called back to ask about if the decision was made only to be told that no decision was made yet and a week later and I haven’t received any letter. Now I’m really anxious because I have no idea what is going on.
Has anyone been through this and what was the outcome

Hi Jayf

I'm afraid you are going to have to be patient and wait for the letter to arrive. They are not supposed to give you any information about decisions over the phone. If you don't hear this week, you can phone again and say what you were told, but all they should tell you is whether a letter has been sent to you.
