PIP - over state pension age with terminal illness

A family member is in receipt of PIP - now at state pension age. She has less than a year to live.

Higher rate mobility. Standard rate daily living.

She was diagnosed with terminal cancer when she was applying under state pension age but life expectancy was 1.5 years.

Can she now update her situation using the SR1 form to get the automatic enhanced daily living.

I realistically think I know the answer but I'm clutching at straws...

Hi somegirl,

I believe it has to be 6 months or less left to live, but me personally, I would argue that you want to get the ball rolling because of how long it takes to get a different award, the time left to live may not 100% accurate, and a likely guesstimate.

Chris.
