I'm looking for guidance on what to do and what is possible to apply for. I am brand new to anything like this so haven't got a scooby doo.
I'll give a breakdown of my situation briefly. I'm a 59 yr old male living alone in a disability flat. Need a replacement knee but can't have one due to age and working. Need a complete shoulder replacement but can't have one due to working. Have severe carpal tunnel but advised by consultant not to have operation because it'll make it worse due to working. Had my spine broken and prolapse discs when a tree blew over and landed on me in 2014. Still have problems because of injury. I have mental health problems also.
Recently the consultant told me I have to retire but I can't afford to. He said I should at least cut down on hours worked and contact benefits. The sticking point is I have not got any idea who I contact and what to ask for and have a deep distrust of these government departments. Can anyone give me any pointers.
