  			 				Hi a-t

The questions you have asked should not be relevant as Incapacity Benefit was a contributions based Benefit. So when you migrated from Incap to ESA you would have qualified for Contributions Based ESA and have been recently getting a top up of Income Based ESA. This being the case your Conts ESA will automatically become New Style ESA on Managed Migration ( New Style is basically the same as old Conts ESA ).

  			 				Hi a-t

You need to read the letters carefully as they are not easy to follow and like you said claimants believe they get just IR ESA whereas they receive CB ESA with a top up of IR ESA if they receive SDP and EDP.

Correct, if you are not in receipt of CB ESA then you cannot be placed in NS ESA. If you are in the support group then you should be migrated over to LCWRA when you apply.
