Does anyone know anything about getting housing benefits for an on site static caravan?
So, already receiving housing benefits but possibly going to live in a static caravan in a different area. I'm sure I've read that I'd have to apply for UC and not just be able to carry on receiving housing benefits.
You need to check out the boundaries of your Local Authority area. If you move within that area then you can continue with Housing Benefit for renters whether that's a static caravan or an in situ residence. If you move away from your Local Authority then you will have to claim UC as a renter. Here are links to the charity Shelter's advice on static caravans and mobile homes. england.shelter.org.uk/housing_advice/pr...enting_a_mobile_home england.shelter.org.uk/housing_advice/be...ive_in_a_mobile_home
