Selling Paintings was created by Peterthemodest
Hi,

I am on ESA and PIP.

Someone today emailed me, expressing interest in purchasing some paintings.

I did some paintings and put them on an art site online.

If I do sell some paintings, what do I have to tell the DWP about this ?

Hi Peterthemodest,

You are allowed to sell your personal possessions without having to inform the DWP. If you start trading you will have to inform the HMRC and of course the DWP. If your paintings sale takes your saving over £6000 you will also need to inform the DWP.
