Migration notice from esa support to UC was created by mumsgirl
I'm on esa support just now and I know I'm going to have to migrate as some point. I was just wondering if they send you more than one notice-perhaps a notice then a reminder? I'm a worrier and I'm worried they will send out a notice and it gets lost in the post and then one day they just stop my esa and housing benefit and I haven't applied for UC as I didn't know anything about it.

Hi mumsgirl

I hope that a member who has been through the migration process might be able to answer your question - because I don't know. Usually the DWP does send out a minimum of two notices for changes - but I can't confirm that as a fact.

Hi mumsgirl,

After the managed migration notice you will be sent separately 2 reminders in the post and if the DWP has your phone number a text reminder.
DWP guidance then advises that if you are in receipt of ESA and no contact has been successful that a Visiting Officer attends your home.

Hope this helps,
David
